This was a good wake-up for the Jets after their summer break. They showed their lack of match practice in the first half, all being slow to react and off the pace, ending up 2 down at half time, after some silly mistakes. There was only one early glimmer of form, when Ted won the ball in midfield, passing to James who played a through ball to Adam L who hit the bar.

Second half the Jets got back into the game, their passing was much better and they started to take the game to Walden. Liam scored their first from a rebound off the Walkden keeper, who had saved a shot from Aaron after a good run from midfield. Adam L then got the next after a long throw-in from Aaron. The third was again from Adam L after an Aaron throw to James on the edge of the box, who put it through for Adam L. Walkden then equalized with a break-away goal as the Jets pressed for another.  At the final whistle Adam L was unlucky to put it wide, after another ball through from James.
