League match 09/10/10

Leigh Genesis 2 – 2 Jets

This was a hard fought and close match for the Jets on a small Astroturf pitch, the bounce taking sometime for the boys to get used to. Aaron opened the scoring with a far post header, after a well worked short corner from Adam B to James, who passed back to Adam B to supply the cross to Aaron. Leigh then scored  an equaliser with a great shot. Oliver had to make a vital save, diving to his right, to keep the score 1 – 1 at half time.

The second half was again tight, both teams having chances and some heavy tackles going in from Leigh, who scored first to go 1 up. The Jets continued to battle well with Adam B eventually getting the equaliser with a left foot strike. Oliver again had to make 2 more vital reaction saves to keep the scores level. The Jets looked like they might snatch a victory before full time, Adam B just putting wide an almost identical chance to his goal.
