St Andrew’s Jets Under 9’s

Friendly match 25/09/10

Jets 3 – 1 Lourdes FC

The Jets got back to their winning ways in this friendly, due to a bye in the cup. Craig took the opportunity to play people in different positions to experiment with options and give players an appreciation of other parts of the game (e.g. Joel as striker for first half and AdamL as a defender). The team responded well, all showing versatility in different roles.

The Jets went 1 up part way through the first half,  Nathan converting a rebound off the inside of the post from a shot by James. Lourdes then got 1 back before half time after a break away through the Jets experimental defence. Oliver had a couple of good saves when they broke through, as well.

In the second half AdamB got the 2^nd with a great strike of a long range free kick into the top of the net. Nathan then got the 3^rd from a good passing move through the midfield.
