Jets 2 – 9 Ladybridge Athletic

The Jets first defeat since Nov 2009 (and the heaviest) against a very good Ladybridge team. The Jets went 2 down early in the first half then regained their form, Adam L getting a goal back from a good move down the right by Aaron and Liam. The Jets then lost their concentration conceding 2 more in the last 2 minutes before half time.

The second half started well for the Jets, with a few good passing moves and attacks, but no clear cut chances. Ladybridge got another 2 before the Jets got a second, Liam finishing a pass from Joel , after a great run out from defence. Ladybridge then got another 3 by the end of the match.

To their credit the Jets kept attacking throughout the game and had a good share of possession and territory. Despite the score, both Joel and Aiden defended well, with some good tackles and Oliver had no chance with any of their goals and his goal kicks and distribution were good. They were just hit on the break too often, when attacks broke down, by a very well organised and fast Ladybridge side.
