Bury North 3 – 1 St Andrews Hawks

The Hawks looked in a commanding position as they took the lead on 10 mins with a shot driven in from around 18yrds by Danny H. However going behind seemed to spur the opposition on and after a series of threats on goal Bury equalised on 22 mins, their forward beating an advancing Keir in goal, a lucky ricochet fell back to Bury as the ball was put in from a tight angle. Bury continued to build the pressure but with little reward as half-time came it was all square at 1-1

Bury again started the second half the strongest, the Hawks performance was somewhat lack lustre. Bury were rewarded with an OG when Rory attempted a clearance header over the cross bar, as the ball dropped Keir was unable to prevent the ball entering the Hawks net, score 2-1 on 54mins.

The third and final Bury goal came from a good passing move, a cross from the left wing was met with a clean foot on the 6 yrd line.

This was a disappointing game as the Hawks know that they can play better. Despite this Tom G received a well deserved MotM award for yet another determine display in the mid-field.

Well, there’s always next week!!!!!
